This is awesome! Is he editing this as well, or did you help him out? What program are you using? Great job, Benton!

I didn’t help Benton at all, other than giving him my Google account password so he could upload the video, and then showing him where to go in YouTube to actually edit the title, description, and tags.

That’s one of the benefits of the Flip Ultra — it’s got editing software embedded in the camera that comes up when you plug it into a USB port. Benton used that — I haven’t even seen it! It’s simplistic, so limited, but he came up with the idea of stringing together a whole bunch of those clips on his own. There’s nothing quite like watching your kid spend $90 on something…and have that be a *great* purchase decision.

“holy crud” you must have long winters. At least this winter quarantine is developing our future producers and directors! (note, quote from video itself)

I know we were not speaking directly to Jack but, it seems he was listening to our conversation regarding Benton and, not only making videos, but posting them. Sunday afternoon I was asked for permission to apply for a “youtube” account. The next thing I know is that Jack, and a friend, are posting videos on youtube. Remember we spoke of the concern you had for the “guy on the tower” and 911? I caught Jack heading outside with an arm load of guns. “We’re making a movie” he said. “Use water guns” I said. “They look less real”. After a long look at the ground, Jack asked, “How about karate?”

Did I ever thank you for stopping by?
