Miscellaneous Krakow Pictures

We spent a lot of time just wandering around Krakow. It's an imminently walkable city, and interesting in that it was not bombed during World War II (unlike Warsaw). Click on the image to see a larger version.

Random church we passed en route from Market Square to Wawel Castle -- statues of the twelve apostles were mounted over the fence out front.

A small street near Market Square. Look closely at the sign on the right side of the street (no, we did NOT go in).

The view through the gate to a public garden.

Near the university -- 100 or so aerial photographs stretching for a lonnnnnnnnng way. Each one had a caption under it (including an English translation) -- and all ended with a sociopolitical/environmental statement (we LOVE this town!).

The Krakow Cemetery. This place is huge, and there is somewhat more space between the gravesites.

Another shot in the Krakow Cemetery -- that's Julie standing in front (there's room for another generation or two in this one structure).
