This was about five minutes after Tim found a
hard hat in the barn and adjusted the webbing to fit Carson's head. This
was his initial adjustment period, after which he and the hardhat were
pretty much inseparable (the hard hat returned to Austin, as a matter of
fact). |

By our count, Carson logged around 6 hours on
or around the tractor (that's not counting the time he spent playing on
the bulldozer, the pug, and the 4-wheelers). |

Pure heaven for a 2-year-old with a thing for
farm equipment. |

Not just a tractor...a tractor with a
*toolbox*! |

Warm weather. Lots of outside play. No air
conditioning. All that led to the beginnings of some heat rashes on
Carson, so Julie decided to let him get some air...all over...after his
shower one evening. We might very well have a future nudist on our hands
(or, at the very least, a rather embarrassed son when these pictures
surface later in his life). |

Clothes or not, you've just GOT to drive in
the main croquet pin! |

Julie and Carson on the 4-wheeler. Tim must
have gotten a half-dozen similar shots...this is the one where Julie
came closest to smiling. She was having a good time...I think. |

Styling in water shoes and a Home Depot apron
-- working on getting all of those rocks into the river. |

It was light in the bedroom both when Carson
went down for nap and when he went down in the evening. He insisted that
his dad lay down with him. Which worked. On both of them (this was the
only time it was captured as a picture, but it happened several times). |

Closer shot of a zonked father and son. |

Spreading corn for the deer. |

After we returned to Ohio from West Virginia.
It was only 5:00 in the evening...but Carson was *pooped*! |
