Five Generations

Julie and the kids stopped off at Marilyn’s in Virginia on their way back from New York over spring break for a few days. They spent a day in and around D.C., including stopping by Arlington National Cemetery.
They visited the graves of Gommie and Dee — my maternal grandparents — as well as the graves of Nana and Papa — Gommie’s parents.
I had to work it out in my head when I saw this picture that Carson is four generations removed from the people buried where this picture was taken. They’re his dad’s mother’s mother’s parents.
