Vegetable Garden
June 27, 2008
This post is largely intended to give my dad a visual of what the plants look like in my garden. Under his guidance, I have planted pole beans and tomatoes. While he was visiting over Mother’s Day weekend, he project managed clearing out the prior garden’s fencing, unearthing a lost sprinkler head, moving an over grown bush from the area, and getting the garden area ready for some plants. It took a few weekends before I managed to get the plants in, but I did succeed in getting something planted and as of this week, they seem to be doing quite well.
The tallest tomato plant, in the back, is a beefsteak variety. The one to the right is a cherry tomato plant, and the other I cannot remember, but it is a regular-sized tomato. There is a little bit more weeding needed and bags of mulch outside the picture that need spread, but that will have to wait for another day. Thanks Dad (and Brett, and Tim, and whoever else worked on it while I was out “slaving” to help Pam celebrate her birthday!)
