Is This Thing Still On?
March 20, 2011
Abruptly and unexpectedly, we sorta’ stopped posting since, er, January. That was driven by a mix of things, all of which come down to, “Not enough hours in the day…” I have been keeping up with my professional blog, which is good for what it does, but not of interest to most people reading this blog. I also got pulled into building some shelves for our basement, and that sucked down a number of multi-hour pockets of time that could have been devoted to this.
We’re not thinking this blog will go away, though.
With that, here are a few pictures from the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin, Ohio.
Leprechauns
Indeterminate Crowned Reptile
Marching Military and Stilted Clowns
Kilted Bagpipers
Shetland Pony
Our kids enjoyed the experience:
Alana
Carson
And, after the parade, while letting the traffic disperse , we wandered over to check out the Scioto (SIGH-oh-toe) River as it flowed through town — with a lot of heavy rain of late, we were curious as to how high and how fast it was flowing. We wound up with a rare sighting: all three of our kids actually smiling while in close proximity to each other and posing for the camera:
Hopefully, more posts to come. We’ve got a two-week stint with a range of picture-taking opportunities. More to come on that!
